A colourful exhibition which includes prayer beads from around the world. Prayer beads are an essential, albeit often overlooked form of religious accessory. The use of prayer beads goes back thousands of years and many different forms have been developed for specific religious groups and functions. The exhibition includes Buddhist (Tibetan, Chinese, Burmese, Korean and Japanese forms), Christian (Catholic and Protestant), Hindu, Jain and Sikh examples, Islamic (Sunni, Shia, Ismaili, Sufi), Bahai, as well as a selection of Neo-Pagan forms.

• Contents: The exhibition includes over 250 examples of prayer beads from around the world, as well as related items such as statuettes, tankas, paintings, and photographs. There is also a text that explains the history, use, and variety of the main forms. The exhibition wil be accompanied by a book on the same theme (in English).
