Past lecture 1

18th June 2008: lecture by Prof. Anne Morrell, Manchester, England, about the setting up and running of the Calico Museum of Textiles, India (in English); 14.00 - 15.00, Boerhaaven Building, Volkenkunde Museum, Leiden. This lecture focussed on the work Anne Morrell has carried out at the Calico Museum of Textiles. Anne has documented processes in the region, with images (still and moving) and text, processes that are fast disappearing. She has made a technical gallery for local students and visitors, with several publications to support the work undertaken.
